Steve Waters Joins The Dark Side: George Allen

Steve Waters Joins The Dark Side: George Allen

George Allen is making every attempt to show his grass roots street creds. Too bad it’s all manufactured with cash.

Bearing Drift, The Washington Post and many others reported today that Steve Waters has joined the Allen campaign.

I’ve know Steve since the 5th district race against Tom Perriello. I always thought he was rabidly pro life and pro family. We’ve not always agreed on the tactics but the issues we we’re always on the same page.

I never questioned his integrity till today when he joined George Allen’s campaign.

Looking at Allen’s Live and Family record it makes me think of the following found in Webster’s dictionary:

in·teg·ri·ty
noun \in-ˈte-grə-tē\
Definition of INTEGRITY
firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values : incorruptibility
an unimpaired condition : soundness
the quality or state of being complete or undivided : completeness

Just a few months ago, Steve Waters was sending hundreds of invitations to Virginia voters, asking them to join the “Republicans AGAINST a George Allen Comeback” page on Facebook.

Pathetic. How could someone who runs around and who I knew to be so rock solid on an issue get involved with a candidate that doesn’t stand with them? Money. I’ve often said that man is the only creature that God created that can deceive itself. Man can justify all sorts of stuff.

The other thing that BD reported was an outright lie and I’ve no idea where they got this nonsense from:

Waters is a well known pro-life and pro-family conservative with a wide following, and seen as one of the primary founders of the Tea Party movement in Virginia.

THE HELL YOU SAY! Did Steve work with Daniel Cortez to start-up the bogus “Virginia Tea Party Patriots for George Allen”? I’d like to know what Tea Party group Steve helped found, start, fund, participate or just fog a mirror in.

Steve has been openly critical of the Tea Party because we are not single issue enough for his tastes. He has long advocated that we take a hard line stance on Life and Family. The Titanic is sinking so lets make sure…you pick the idiotic metaphor.

Steve sent out an email today that said:

It is with great pride that I join George Allen’s campaign for the U.S. Senate as Advisor on Family Policy Issues.

We need a proven social, fiscal and Constitutional conservative with a record of leadership and electoral success.

If that is the case Steve should have supported Jamie Radtke or any of the other candidates. George Allen has proven that he does NOT stand for the things that Steve is so excited about seeing take the lead in our nation. The Republican leadership under George Allen has time and again failed to advance the issues of Life and Family. They have abandoned the Constitution. (Patriot Act, Illegal Wars, Etc) Will George Allen work to audit or end the FED? I doubt It. Does George Allen understand states rights? NO!

He goes on:

I look forward to working with Governor Allen and his team to get out the word about his unquestioned commitment to Virginia values, as well as to engage Virginians throughout the Commonwealth to the strengths and principles of the Republican Party, which helped forge a great Nation. I am excited about being a part of a massive grassroots campaign for our children’s future. We can stand in Victory together or lose divided. With so much at stake, there is not a moment to lose, and I encourage my fellow pro-family conservatives to join me in closing ranks behind George Allen today.”

That’s right my pro-family conservative friends. You too can sell out and support George Allen. OR you can support Jamie Radtke or any of the other TRUE Pro-Family and Pro-Life candidates that will 100% stand behind what you believe.

Aren’t you tired of voting for the lesser of two candidates because he/she can “win”? I am. It’s too bad that Steve isn’t.

You know, I forgot all about Waters’ association with Republicans against a George Allen comeback. Makes the whole story even more strange. Seems pretty hypocritical. I’ll have to add this info to my recent post. Thanks!
